Alex was a Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force in WW2 and was still when he married on September 26th 1951 to Joyce Ruby Tait. They married in Downham Market in Norfolk.

Heather married Anthony Robert Wilson in 1971. Three daughters Lara, Kirsten and Holly. They divorced some years later.
