Rosa Valente 1868 -1964. She was born in Cassino. She married Giuseppe Antonio Risi 1868-1964 who was born in Santa Lucia in Naples in 1870. They married in Naples on 24 June 1894 before emigrating to Scotland
Giuseppe’s parents were Pasquale Risi and Angela di Pasquale. Rose and Giuseppe had several children all born in Edinburgh, Scotland

He came to Scotland where in 1901 he was running a confectionery and tobacconist shop at 130 Morrison Street in Edinburgh with his wife Elizabeth Stevenson who he had married in Edinburgh in 1898. By 1911 the family had moved to 2 Munro Place and Vitorrio now with surname Valenti, was now a fish and chip shop proprietor. The family visited DETROIT in the USA briefly in the year 1914. They were only there a couple of weeks before returning to Edinburgh. Perhaps visiting a relativeCaroline Valenti 1875-1884. Sister of AlmericoGregorio Valenti 1879-1918. Brother of Almerico. Tragically died in France and Flanders. He was married briefly to Catherine Stevenson but both she and the baby died whilst she was in childbirth in 1904.Francesco Antonio Valenti. 1885-1962. He moved to Surrey. His wife may have been called Philomena but more research needing done on this side
There are other branches of the Valenti family in Scotland and who probably are in one way or another related back in Cassino and beyond. Know there are Neri and Risi connections. There is a branch in Kirkcaldy who say that they have been there since 1921.
