Quilietti folks
SCOTS/ITALIANS or ITALIAN/SCOTS
Some say that now that 50 years have passed, we would like another 50 more years to celebrate once again; that means it will be 100 years. After one hundred years, I will be 155 years old.

All of us, whether guilty or not, whether old or young, must accept the past. It is not a case of coming to terms with the past. That is not possible. It cannot be subsequently modified or undone. I’ve never tried to block out the memories of the past, even though some are painful. I don’t understand people who hide from their past. Everything you live through helps to make you the person you are now.
Our family has through no fault of their own lost their Italian idendity. We can no longer speak Italian. We are Scots and proud to be so. But we only have to look at our family today to realise that the Italian genes are still there. The genes may skip a generation but as sure as you are reading this, then they re-appear with the next one. This link will always remind us of our heritage and therefore always proud to be Scots/Italian.
I love places that have Memory is not an instrument for exploring the past but its theatre. It is the medium of past experience, as the ground is the medium in which dead cities lie interred.an incredible history. I love the Italian way of life. I love the food. I love the people. I love the attitudes of Italians.ELATIONS Many people will agree that although they love their relatives in many cases they really don’t like them! There is nothing more painful that fighting between family members. They seem to know each other’s vunerabilities and can hurt each other in the most private and intimate places. So remember, before you say anything to hurt that family member, no matter how much you think they deserve it, remember that the pain of the memory will linger on much longer than the pain of a harmless one-liner. But here’s some food for thought
- Your Family is the strong tie that holds you to the ground,
- When you start to float away, they can turn your world around,
- They are the rock that holds you down when you decide to go astray
- They are the friends that you are born with, they are with you till the end.
- And when life treats you rough your heartache they will mend.
- Although sometimes you fuss and fight and not always agree,
- In the dark they shine a light to show the path that you can see.
This is probably true of all families. We fall in and we fall out. We make up. But in the end the bond of the family unit shines through The people in our family are no exception to this rule.
But we are now in a better position that we have ever been in our history to keep these family ties strong and keep in touch with the ‘other sides’ of our family and to pull through for those who are in more need than others.
To try and make a collage out of all the people connected with our family would not be possible. To try and establish a communal link with our heritage however would be possible.
If any of our family would like to help me in building their pages here on our website I would be grateful if you could get in touch.
This cry for help goes out to all the descendants and connected families of the Quilietti’s from Castelvecchio Pascoli. Some of the connected surnames are here already and waiting, and some are still to be added
.
To all my family and friends,
from whom I hear from now and then,
Just wanted to say that I love you each and everyday.
You fill my heart with love and laughter
and without that nothing else matters,
and all the things that we’ve been through,
would mean nothing if I didn’t have you.
So please take my hand and together let’s make a stand,
to form a bond of love with the help from above,
and not let little things get in the way,
because we may not have another day,
to tell that person
I love you,
which we may regret in some way.
Please know that you’re in my heart,
and will stay that way and never part.
Just wanted to say, that I love you
and I hope you love me too.

Family Friend Poems
I am researching my family history and have come across an Fedele Giovanelli who married Rebecca Leversedge in 1852 London, England. My connection is through Rebecca and her second husband William Dench. They were married in 1864 Southampton, England. Their son, also called William, is my great grandfather.
My question is, do you have Fedele Giovanelli in your family tree.
Thank you for you help in this matter.
Lena Boston

Hello Patricia. Thanks for your comment. Our families would surely be connected in days now gone. Your Elizabeth Boyle was the sister of my direct line James Boyle. So welcome to the family

Hello again Stacey. Have contact now via e.mail. But the lady is Louisa Quilietti. Lula as she is affectionately called. She is now in her 90s. Her gran was Valentina Brattesani. So the connection is there plain to see.
My great, great grandmother was Maria Giovanna Eletta Maddelena Brucciani.
My maternal great grandmother was Maria Dante who married Vitorio Mariani in Rhose Island, USA.
My maternal grandfather was Louis Mariani.
I’m interested in exploring our family tree.
Thanks so much.
